Kongsberg / Oslo, Norway – February 09, 2026 – Applied Autonomy, a leading provider of AI-enabled software solutions for the efficient operation of autonomous vehicles, today announces a strategic partnership with Consat Telematics, a global provider of public transport operations solutions. As part of the agreement, Consat will also become a shareholder through a strategic investment.
This partnership marks a major milestone for Applied Autonomy. The collaboration links the company’s leading fleet management and autonomous operations software with Consat’s worldwide delivery of public transport solutions. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of self-driving buses and provide the market with a seamless solution for both traditional and autonomous vehicles.
The investment from Consat Telematics serves as a clear seal of approval for Applied Autonomy's technology and confirms that the industry is now shifting from pilot projects to full commercial operations.
The public transport industry is facing a critical global shortage of drivers. To maintain and expand service offerings, an increasing number of operators are looking toward autonomous solutions to supplement current bus fleets—particularly for airports, dedicated bus lines, and "first and last mile" connectivity.
While many players focus on the vehicle technology itself, Applied Autonomy solves the challenge of integrating these vehicles effectively into a larger system.
Through this partnership, Applied Autonomy’s fleet management and remote vehicle/passenger assistance system, xFlow, will be integrated with Consat’s systems. This allows operators to manage "mixed fleets" (both manual and autonomous buses) within a single, unified interface.
For Applied Autonomy, this collaboration provides immediate access to new markets. Consat Telematics is already an established supplier to public transport authorities and operators worldwide.
"The partnership with Consat Telematics acts as a catalyst for our vision. It allows us to integrate our xFlow platform—the market’s leading solution for fleet management and operation of autonomous fleets—with Consat’s solid market position," says Olav Madland, CEO of Applied Autonomy.
He continues:
"This collaboration creates a clear path to help customers manage the increasing driver shortage by transitioning to mixed fleets. By connecting xFlow’s ability to manage various types of autonomous vehicles with Consat’s global presence, we can reach new markets and realize safe, scalable, and autonomous transport today."
The partnership also paves the way for innovation in Yard Management. As autonomous fleets grow, efficient logistics within terminals—including charging, parking, and cleaning—become as vital as on-road driving. By combining Applied Autonomy's control systems with Consat’s expertise in charging management, the companies are positioned to deliver the automated depot solutions of the future.
Fredrik Östbye, Chairman of the Board at Consat Telematics, emphasizes that the partnership is about shaping the future:
"Applied Autonomy’s deep expertise in automated vehicles complements our own strengths. Our investment signals that we are serious about expanding our offering and opening doors to markets where autonomous operations are already gaining momentum."
